CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO GO IN THE OFFICE AS NEEDED.LOCATION: MOOR PARK, CAPay Rate is Dependant on Experience LevelMinimal Travel will be necessary for this roleMust Have most of all Equipment Requirements on the job description Engineer ISP Operations supports the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ISP network infrastructure. This role ensures reliable delivery of internet, transport, and related services to residential and business customers. Depending on level, responsibilities range from basic provisioning and support to mod level network engineering and project execution.Perform customer service provisioning tasks (e.g., activating circuits, configuring CPE, updating inventory systems).Monitor network performance using NMS tools and escalate issues following standard procedures.Troubleshoot Layer 1-Layer 2 issues, including connectivity problems, hardware faults, and configuration errors.Assist field technicians with remote diagnostics and support.Perform routine maintenance tasks such as firmware updates, port turn-ups, and documentation updates.Maintain accurate records of network changes, diagrams, and customer configurations.Follow defined MOPs, change management processes, and escalation rules.Provide on-call or after-hours support on a rotational basis.Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot ISP access network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, OLTs/ONTs,Assist in network capacity planning, performance analysis, and upgrades.Lead moderate network projects such as new site turn-ups, backbone upgrades, or service expansions.Develop and improve documentation, MOPs, and automation scripts.Provide escalation support for complex outages and customer-impacting issues.Collaborate with engineering teams on network design and architecture decisions.Engineer ISP OperationsBasic understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP.Familiarity with network hardware GPON and XGS PONAbility to read and interpret network diagrams.Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.Excellent customer service and communication abilities.0-2 years' experience in IT, networking, or telecommunications (or equivalent education/certification).Work Environment & RequirementsAbility to lift equipment (up to 40 lbs.) and occasionally assist with field installations.Participation in on-call rotation.Occasional travel to ISP sites, POPs, data centers, or customer locations.Must pass background check and meet safety/operational requirements.
