Financial Controller

We are seeking an experienced accounting leader to join a long‑standing, family‑owned design and manufacturing company that has been operating successfully for over 40 years. This role reports directly to the President and plays a key role in overseeing day‑to‑day accounting operations, supporting financial reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls.The ideal candidate is a hands‑on accountant with strong technical fundamentals, sound judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in a stable, close‑knit environment with long‑tenured employees and a small accounting team.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee general ledger accounting and ensure accurate and timely financial recordsManage month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processesPrepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and fixed assetsEnsure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policiesPrepare internal financial statements and management reportingSupport budgeting activities, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysisMaintain internal controls and support audit, tax, and compliance activitiesManage and mentor a small accounting team, providing guidance and quality reviewServe as a key financial partner to company leadership, including the PresidentAssist with process improvements while respecting established, effective workflowsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance5–10+ years of progressive accounting experienceOil & Gas industry experience requiredCPA preferredWork Environment & Additional NotesReports directly to the PresidentSmall, experienced accounting team with long tenureHighly stable organization with strong institutional knowledgeRole emphasizes consistency, reliability, and long‑term contributionPosition offers autonomy, visibility, and leadership influence without excessive turnover or chaos
