Position OverviewThe Project Manager (PM) is responsible for planning, executing, and closing strategic projects including systems integrations, new product development, supply chain initiatives, and technology improvements. This role manages the full lifecycle of projects from pre-initiation planning through post-production hypercare.The Project Manager will oversee multiple complex projects, partnering with cross-functional teams and interacting with senior leadership. This position ensures projects are completed on time, within scope, on budget, and aligned with quality standards.The PM will follow industry-standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, PMO standards, and structured project governance processes, and should be familiar with Stage Gate approaches for product or project development.Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills are critical to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and successful delivery across the organization.This position is offered as a contract-to-hire opportunity.Competitive hourly contract rate based on experienceBenefits available during the contract periodOpportunity to convert to a full-time position with long-term career growthKey ResponsibilitiesLead the planning and execution of strategic projects including new product development, technology upgrades, system integrations, cost savings initiatives, and process improvementsEnsure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budgetPartner with executive sponsors, project leaders, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, success criteria, and deliverablesIdentify, manage, and mitigate project risks through proactive planning, monitoring, and reportingManage project issues and facilitate resolution while maintaining transparency with leadership and stakeholdersOversee project change management, evaluating impacts and obtaining appropriate approvalsMonitor project performance and escalate issues as necessary to ensure project successDrive timely decision-making among stakeholders and proactively manage critical project pathsCollaborate with other Project Managers to reinforce PMO standards, tools, and best practicesSupport continuous improvement initiatives within project management processes and governanceQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Project Management, Management Information Systems, Business, or related field preferredPMP certification preferred3–5 years of experience in Project Management, Innovation Project Management, or a related fieldExperience managing SDLC-driven projects and process improvement initiativesFamiliarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)Core SkillsStrong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder managementExcellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skillsHighly organized with strong attention to detail and documentationSelf-motivated with the ability to anticipate project needs and take initiativeAbility to handle multiple priorities and shifting timelinesCommitment to continuous learning and improvementAbility to maintain strict confidentiality with internal and external informationProfessional Success TraitsPerseverance and resilienceResourcefulness and initiativeAbility to take measured risksDelivering consistent, high-quality resultsEffective prioritization and time managementStrong collaboration and communicationGrowth mindset and coachabilityAbility to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty
