TITLE: CustodianEMPLOYMENT TERMSTen (10) Months SALARY CLASSIFICATION: Classified Salary (NON-EXEMPT)GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES: To maintain clean facilities for students and staff which will enhance a positive learning environment. PRINCIPAL DUTIES:Cleans all assigned areasSweeps, dusts, vacuums, scrubs, waxes and polishes floorsWashes windows, walls, woodwork and equipmentEmpties trash receptaclesMoves furniture and equipment for cleaning and special eventsReplaces light bulbs and performs other minor repairs, as requiredProvides building security, as requiredPerforms special custodial work, as directedPerforms other related tasks as assignedCERTIFICATION: CPR/First Aid; Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card. MODERATE RISK OCCUPATIONAL CONDITIONWorks with some hazardous cleaning materials. SKILLS REQUIREDDemonstrated handling of toxic and hazardous chemicals; use of cleaning equipment. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED equivalent.EXPERIENCE: One year or more experience required;SUPERVISION: Perform as directed, responsible for own job.RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for some equipment.LICENSE: Valid Driver's License. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAble to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, extensive walking, standing and bending.
