Pharmacy Admixture Technician

Job Description The Pharmacy Admixture Technician position will work under the supervision of a pharmacist, assisting in the preparation of sterile products; maintaining patient records and profiles; arranging packaging and delivery of completed products; aseptically preparing all sterile admixture requests for nurses upon receipt of physician orders; maintaining and ordering stock; maintaining logs and cleaning records; and carrying out various quality assurance procedures.Organizational and problem-solving skills are essential; must be highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail; able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.The candidate must be an independent thinker; have excellent interpersonal skills; be able to multi-task, exhibit self-confidence and remain calm under pressure; must be autonomous and be able to make decisions systematically; demonstrate a reliable work ethic, a positive attitude and a strong desire to achieve.Company DescriptionVirginia Cancer Institute is a well-respected, leading Oncology Practice on the East Coast, with 6 facilities located throughout the Greater Richmond, Virginia market.Company DescriptionVirginia Cancer Institute is a well-respected, leading Oncology Practice on the East Coast, with 6 facilities located throughout the Greater Richmond, Virginia market.
