Senior DevOps Engineer
Overview
As a Senior DevOps Engineer 2, you ensure reliable, scalable AWS-based infrastructure and services. You’ll lead IaC efforts, automate CI/CD for Kubernetes and EC2 workloads, and strengthen observability with DataDog. You’ll apply SRE principles to optimize performance and cost while supporting legacy Java apps. You’ll collaborate with developers to accelerate platform features and mentor teammates. This role sits at the intersection of cloud engineering and healthcare IT, shaping a resilient, self-service platform at ModMed.

Key requirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or SREStrong hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Helm, and KafkaProficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and scripting (Python, Bash)Experience with Java or Golang preferredFamiliarity with healthcare technologies such as FHIR and HL7Knowledge of cloud networking, security, and scalability best practicesExperience troubleshooting and optimizing large-scale cloud infrastructuresMentorship and coachingCollaborative cross-functional communicationProactive problem-solving and learning mindsetAWSKubernetes (EKS)Helm
