Since 2014, we’ve partnered with clients across the hedge fund, private equity, venture capital, real estate, and private credit markets to evaluate operational risk and provide independent, thoughtful assessments that support investment decisions. Our work combines detailed analytical research with direct engagement with investment managers and their key service providers. Every engagement is different, requiring curiosity, critical thinking, and a willingness to understand how firms operate in practice, not just on paper. Position Overview Shadmoor Advisors is seeking an Associate to join our Operational Due Diligence team in Southport, Connecticut. As an Associate, you’ll work closely with experienced professionals throughout every stage of the operational due diligence process. You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of investment managers while developing the analytical, research, and communication skills central to our work. This is a full-time, in-office position. Key Responsibilities Support senior team members throughout the ODD process. Coordinate document requests while maintaining organized diligence files and internal databases. Review and analyze a broad range of documentation, including offering memoranda, audited financial statements, policies and procedures, and other materials relevant to an investment manager’s operational infrastructure. Extract and synthesize key information from diligence materials. Participate in virtual and in-person interviews with investment managers to take detailed notes of operational practices. Coordinate confirmation efforts with administrators, auditors, custodians, prime brokers, and other key service providers. Draft written ODD reports with guidance from senior team members. Qualifications We’re seeking candidates who are detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated. This role is best suited for someone who is eager to learn, comfortable working independently, and able to take initiative in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, English, or a related discipline. Zero to two years of professional experience, preferably within alternative investments, investment consulting, public accounting, financial services, or operational due diligence. Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce clear, well-organized written work. Ability to manage multiple assignments at once. Professional communication skills while interacting with investment managers, clients, auditors, administrators, and other industry professionals. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. #J-18808-Ljbffr
