Piping Design Coordinator

General Summary of the PositionResponsible for overseeing each assigned design project, planning and assigning the work of various levels of Designers and other employees creating, updating and modifying drawings to be used in fabrication and assembly. Operate CAD computer system to create, update, and modify models and drawings.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (following are accountabilities included but not limited to): Layout Plot Plans for Gas Plant projects and proposals. Pipe modeling in Cadworx for modular skids, pipe racks, and piping areas.Plan individual work to accomplish objectives. Implement and drive improvements in efficiency and overall performance. Identify and resolve gaps within the team and drive to closure.Lead team in developing corrective actions to maximize cost efficiency.Lead and direct the team across multiple projects, adopting both Jasper and client standards and specifications, as applicable.Lead and promote the team to create and develop innovative working methods. Work alongside the team to actively generate and solicit new and improved ideas. Identify resources to support the team in driving continuous improvementLead the team to identify changes in scope of work during a large project and produce engineering design changes as needed to stay within budget and schedule.Lead the team to identify quality issues and gaps in design. Continuously coach the team and individuals within the team. Frequently assess performance and implement corrective improvement as appropriate. Foster an environment that emphasizes collaboration and coordination.Actively seek feedback from customers and take action to improve processes.Develop 2D & 3D piping layouts for midstream gas processing plants following industry standards, best practices, code adherence, maintenance, accessibility, and optimized design.Perform comprehensive 3D modeling of equipment, piping, and associated components using CADWorx software.Mentor and guide junior and intermediate piping designers, fostering their technical growth and professional development.Thorough reviews of vendor equipment drawings, ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in design.Education, Training, and Experience:Technical or vocational degree preferred in relevant field.Working knowledge of piping design in gas processing industry is required.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.Proficiency in Cadworx Plant, Cadworx Equipment, & Navisworks.Familiar with industry standards and best practices.Between 18 to 25 years of experience with 3D Modeling and piping design.Preferred Between 10 and 15 years of experience leading a team of four or more.Preferred 5 to 10 years of experience designing modular skids and supporting a fabrication shop for gas plants, including Cryogenic, Amine, and Stabilizer systems.Work Context:Office-based with the requirement to visit fabrication and assembly facilities as needed.
