Production Operator II - Bonding/Cleaning

Works within a team environment to meet departmental goals. Maintains work area cleanliness.Roles & Responsibilities: Perform cleaning and bonding operations, spending approximately 50% of time cleaning parts and 50% bonding components.Clean parts thoroughly prior to bonding using approved methods, including washing, scrubbing, and use of soaps and cleaning agents to ensure parts are completely free of contaminantsTransport cleaned parts into the bond room and ensure they are staged correctly for the next processPerform bonding of metal inserts and ceramic components, assembling large ceramic parts into larger assemblies using bonding materials (similar to assembling large-scale components or modular parts)Handle and work around chemicals such as methanol and MEK, following all safety procedures and PPE requirementsComplete and maintain accurate process and quality documentation, ensuring parts are routed correctly and paperwork is sent to the appropriate areas to prevent downstream issuesOperate multiple, complex production equipment and/or a variety of production equipment to manufacture parts in compliance with work order instructions; makes machine adjustments and contacts appropriate person when neededInspect parts to determine if product meets quality/ customer specifications; takes appropriate action concerning parts that are not to customer/quality standards and recommends solutions to appropriate personTransfer parts to next process via computer softwareLoad, unload and stack product; transports product via hand-truck, forklift, crane, or hoistWears required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where mandatoryJob Requirements:Shift:Day Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm PSTEducation:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not necessaryExperience:A minimum of six (6) months manufacturing experienceFunctional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Understand and act on verbal and/or written instructionsRead/interpret standard and metric measurementsBasic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)Knowledge of handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, etc.Assess product quality deficiencies to determine disposition; reporting to appropriate personMust exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening skillsMust be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgroundsTarget Hiring RangeHourly: USD 17.97 - USD 21.64Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
