People and Culture Generalist

The company’s culture is guided by 16 core beliefs that shape how teams collaborate and serve clients.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site People and Culture Generalist role based in Tukwila, WA. The People and Culture Generalist will support the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance support, and offboarding, while ensuring a positive and inclusive team member experience. Responsibilities include partnering with leaders on workforce planning, supporting employee relations matters, and coaching leaders on policies, performance conversations, and engagement initiatives. The role will help administer HR programs and processes, including benefits coordination, leave management, compliance documentation, and maintenance of accurate HRIS records. The People and Culture Generalist will also assist with training coordination, culture-building initiatives, recognition programs, and continuous improvement of People and Culture practices in alignment with PalAmerican’s core values.QualificationsExperience with core HR practices such as recruitment, onboarding, performance support, and offboarding, ideally in a multi-site or shift-based environment.Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements, including documentation standards, investigations support, and confidentiality best practices.Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to coach leaders, mediate sensitive situations, and foster an inclusive, respectful workplace.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, organize detailed information, and maintain accurate HRIS and personnel records.Experience supporting training, development, recognition, and engagement initiatives that reinforce organizational culture and core values.Proficiency with common office and HR tools (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, HRIS, applicant tracking systems); ability to learn new systems quickly.Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant HR experience.Prior HR generalist or People and Culture experience, preferably in security, public safety, or another service-oriented industry, is an asset.HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) or progress toward certification is considered an advantage.Pay Rate $30/hour.
