Today, the Company owns and operates approximately 12M square feet of commercial space and 3,500 residential units across 18 states.LOCATIONLos Angeles, CAResponsibilitiesThis role will be highly visible and integral to the financial management of the Company, initially focused on Haven Housing as the Company continues to scale growth in the multi-family and affordable housing sectors.Essential DutiesManage cash flow projections ensuring availability of fundsAssist in managing Company relationships with banks, institutions and other financial partners along with assisting in identifying new lending sources focused on the residential sectorParticipate with the Company’s in-house finance team on all financings being consideredEnsure timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting to banks and other financial partnersEnsure compliance with loan covenantsPrepare and participate in financial presentations to banks and other financial partnersPropose action plans to ensure that financial objectives are attainedWork with the senior leadership team in the preparation of the long-term financial goals, annual plans, budgets and projectionsLeverage on past and existing networks to provide insight and recommendations to manage both short-term and long-term goals of the CompanyAssist in developing a capitalization strategy for new acquisitions and existing owned assets. Create strategic initiatives that generate additional opportunities for the company through external relationships, which may include speaking engagements, and participation in select industry organizations/entitiesAssess financial risks and recommend strategies to mitigate those risks. Respond to financial related questions from lenders, and other stakeholders. Partner with other internal departments to ensure that communications and presentation materials are accurateEnsure budget and forecast models are accurateExecute special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed. QUALIFICATIONS:Undergraduate degree is required in accounting or business-related fieldBoth a CPA and graduate degree a plus15 + years of experience in real estate accounting or related field with experience in multi-family operations and financial reportingExperience with both FANNIE and FREDDIE MAC loan process / programsLikely candidates will have come through an accounting or finance background Familiar with the 1031 Exchange processExperience in Yardi software a plusDemonstrated ability to maintain confidentialityStrong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally within all levels of the organization and externally with lenders and other outside parties. Ability to work independently and with minimum supervisionAbility to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environmentMust possess a strong work ethicMust be a team player.
