Primary Job Title:Electrical Test EngineerLocation:Kent, WAOnsite Flexibility:OnsiteContract Details:Position Type: ContractDuration: 7 monthsPay Rate: $70.00 $75.00 / Hour (USD)Shift / Schedule: Weekend days, 40 hours per week, overtime as neededWork Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Test Engineer II to join our team in Kent, WA, supporting the integrated system testing of launch vehicles. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in electrical and systems engineering with a strong background in data acquisition and Python scripting. You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of subsystems critical to human spaceflight missions.Key Responsibilities:Facilitate performance testing, calibration, environmental testing of avionics development hardware per test plansProvide support to identify root cause for failures of hardware during development test cyclesMaintain automated test equipment configuration control and traceability to support quality auditsReview and processing of large data sets to identify nonconformancesPlan, develop, and execute integrated system testing of launch vehicles with a focus on electrical subsystemsDesign, implement, and optimize data acquisition systems for accurate test measurement and analysisWrite and maintain automation scripts in Python to support data acquisition, test execution, and data post-processingCollaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineers to develop comprehensive test plans and proceduresTroubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical and data acquisition systems during testingAnalyze test results, document findings, and provide recommendations for design improvementsSupport both ground and flight-testing campaigns, ensuring all test activities meet program quality and safety standardsMaintain detailed documentation for test setups, procedures, and findings to support future reviews and auditsRequired Skills:Experience with data acquisition systems (DAQ), instrumentation, and control systemsProficiency in Python for automation, data processing, and scripting tasksSound knowledge of electronics circuit fundamentalsStrong understanding of system-level testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysisExperience working in a multidisciplinary engineering environmentExcellent analytical, communication, and documentation skillsExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programsEducation Requirements:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical fieldMinimum of a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related fieldRequired Experience:5 years of experience in electrical test engineering, preferably within the aerospace or related industry3 years of hands-on experience operating and maintaining test chambers and automated test and measurement equipmentWork Environment / Physical Requirements:Flexibility to support weekend shifts or non-standard hours may be required based on program needsAbility to work onsite in Kent, WAImportant Notes:Candidates must be flexible with shift availability; schedule shift could be weekend days working 40 hours per week with overtime as needed.Candidates who can start within two weeks of receiving an offer are preferred.BenefitsMedical InsuranceVision InsuranceDental Insurance401(k) Retirement FundAbout the Client:Space Exploration Company We develop reusable launch vehicles and in-space systems for sustainable space exploration.
