This includes sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, stripping, and waxing hard surface floors, as well as vacuuming and spot-cleaning carpets. The Floor Tech ensures that all flooring is clean, safe, and presentable before the center opens to the public.Key Responsibilities:Perform daily and scheduled floor care tasks:Hard surface care: sweep, dust mop, wet mop, scrub, strip, wax, and buffCarpet care: vacuum, spot clean, bonnet clean, and extractOperate and maintain floor care equipment such as auto scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, and extractorsHandle proper dilution and use of cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelinesIdentify and report floor damage, maintenance issues, or unsafe conditionsFollow established cleaning procedures and schedules for all assigned areasWork independently and efficiently during overnight hours with minimal supervisionEnsure all work is completed prior to center opening and that all areas are clean, dry, and hazard-freeAssist in other general janitorial duties as needed (e.g., trash removal, restroom cleaning, dusting)Follow all company policies, procedures, and regulationsKeep equipment clean, well-maintained, and stored properly after useQualifications:1-2 years of experience in floor care in a commercial or retail environmentFamiliarity with various floor care equipment and techniquesAbility to work safely with chemicals and toolsStrong attention to detail and ability to follow schedules and checklistsMust be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, kneel, stand, and walk for long periodsAbility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as requiredGood communication skills and the ability to work as part of a teamBilingual (English/Spanish) is a plusWork Environment:On-site at a shopping center or large commercial facilityOvernight hours, typically when the building is closed to the publicExposure to cleaning agents, noise from equipment, and varying floor conditionsPhysical and active role requiring manual laborThis job reports to the Manager/SupervisorThis is a Full-Time position
