Safety Manager

Position Title: Safety Manager Reports To: President Location: Dallas Overview: We strive to provide cost-effective world class integrated facility services to commercial building owners and/or managers nationwide, while simultaneously providing their employees, tenants and visitors with a clean environment in which to work, office and visit. Position Summary The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive safety program that ensures a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment for all employees, clients, and visitors. This role proactively reduces risk, ensures regulatory compliance, supports operational excellence, and promotes a strong safety culture across the organization. The Safety Manager is empowered to take full ownership of safety-related responsibilities and make independent decisions within defined boundaries once adequately trained by leadership. Duties and Responsibilities Key Result Areas and Accountabilities I. Training Conduct safety orientation for every startup involving ten (10) or more employees Train all new managers on required safety certifications Track and ensure management compliance with all required training Develop and deliver monthly safety training modules Coordinate and oversee: o Bloodborne Pathogens training o CPR and AED certification o Golf cart safety training II. Vehicle Management Oversee vehicle safety programs, including inspections and compliance Manage all vehicle accidents from start to resolution, including: Towing coordination Insurance notification Dealer repair coordination Police reports Injury reporting to the Director of Human Resources Maintain vehicle and trailer registration Manage inventory of all vehicles and trailers Maintain an updated list of Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) locations Coordinate vehicle purchases, including: Vehicle placement Delivery to destination o Tracking license plates Ensure current insurance cards are maintained for every vehicle and trailer III. Equipment Management Maintain a complete inventory of company equipment Notify the Purchasing Manager of equipment needing repair or removal Ensure all equipment is free from unauthorized stickers, logos, or personalization IV. Site Inspections Conduct ASAP (Quality Control) inspections Perform routine safety inspections, including: Chemical handling and storage Equipment condition Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance SDS book availabilityMonthly training compliance Identify safety innovations and improvement opportunities for clients V. Workers’ Compensation Document all OSHA recordable accidents Manage AHI incident reporting processes Actively manage claims and initiatives to maintain an Experience Modification Rate (EMR) below 1.0 VI. CIMS Certification • Support the organization in managing and ensuring CIMS certification and recertification are completed accurately and on time. VII. Compliance Maintain OSHA 300 logs Coordinate and support loss control audits Monitor account-level EMR and recordable incidents Stay current with all federal, state, and industry safety regulations Ensure all required documentation is audit-ready for company and client audits VIII. Sales Support • Support Sales and Operations by completing safety-related sections of RFPs and client questionnaires IX. Continuing Education Actively pursue personal professional development Obtain additional safety certifications quarterly to maintain best-in-class safety knowledge Qualifications and Requirements Education Preferred: Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field Experience Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in safety management or occupational safety Physical Requirements Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, and climb stairs or ladders during site inspections Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments and varying weather conditions Ability to wear required PPE Ability to travel between job sites and respond to incidents as needed Measurements of Success EMR maintained below 1.0 100% completion of monthly safety inspections 100% completion of quarterly inspections across all accounts Zero client or internal safety escalation calls Zero lost-time or reportable accidents Equal Opportunity Employer Statement We are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
