St. Raymond educates students to lead lives of faith, academic excellence and service. The Assistant Principal's primary job is to support the Principal in the school's day-to-day operations and overall management. A preferred applicant is service-oriented, passionate about the mission of the School, and shows compassion and joy to the community. Other skills include being flexible, efficient, highly organized, a strong communicator, and the ability to manage various tasks and responsibilities.Duties Include But Not Limited ToMember of the school leadership team.Organizes and schedules school assessments and surveys.Works with Athletics and Family School Association as the liaison with the school.Assists in the day-to-day building administration and the safety and welfare of students, staff, volunteers, and activities.Ensures a safe, pleasant and effective educational atmosphereProvides discipline as necessary and enforces school policy.Supports the Principal in setting the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the staff within the school.Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policiesWorks with the local Fire and Police Department in setting up drillsAssists with substitute coverage when needed.Develops school schedules and sets teacher and student schedules.Assists with planning faculty and professional development days.Hosts team meetings monthly as assigned by the principal.The Archdiocese of Chicago offers a comprehensive total rewards package to include competitive compensation and benefit programs. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on many factors including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
