The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the accounting department and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. This position provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of our company and to support our growth and success. You will report to the Associate Director, Financial Control. Progressive experience in accounting operations, internal controls, and financial systems is required, as well as the ability to interact with all levels of management and cross-functional teams.Plan and oversee all accounting tasks in support of operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and general ledger for one of our 3 service linesLead all month-end close and general ledger reconciliation processes pertaining that specific service lineAssist in managing accounts receivable and accounts payable processes for various DEPT US entities within the service line through standardization of process and optimization of internal controls to focus on working capital management and cash flow optimizationManage various treasury management workflows, including cash tracking, management, and cash forecasting for various DEPT US entities within the service linePartner with senior mgmt on the preparation of budgets and forecasts and develop accurate and timely reports on actuals vs budgetsComply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.Review financial statements and trend analysis to ensure proper reporting and understanding of the businessPartner closely with FP&A and Group Financial Reporting teams around monthly variance analysis and management reportingCoordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the audits.Assist the DEPT US accounting team with monthly/quarterly deliverablesAssisting the DEPT US accounting team with intercompany reconciliationsProvide mentorship and support to a growing accounting teamPerform other tasks and analyses as needed or directed.WHAT YOU WILL BRING:Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance3+ years experience in accountingAdvanced Excel/Google Sheets skillsHands-on experience with accounting software packages, like NetSuiteGAAP/IFRS or equivalent accrual-based accounting knowledgeAttention to detail and ability to analyze number discrepanciesExperience with month-end close, consolidations in a multiple currency environment, including recording intercompany transactionsDirect experience in revenue recognition across various revenue streamsCapable of investigating and resolving accounting discrepanciesExperience with system implementationsExperience with M&A acquisitions and integrationsExperience with group accounting and/or consolidationsWorking within the professional services and/or technology industry Working within private equityWHAT DO WE OFFER?Healthcare, Dental, and Vision coveragePTOPaid Company HolidaysWE SUPPORT YOU BEING YOU: DEPT is an equal opportunity employer (EOE). Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, expertise, physical location, and organizational impact. This is based on a 40-hour workweek and leveling.
