AFTAC provides national authorities with quality technical measurements to monitor nuclear test ban treaty compliance and development of advanced proliferation monitoring technologies to preserve U.S. national security. AMIC Det 2 OL-A is dedicated to crafting optimal contract solutions that result in tactical and strategic victories. The unit collaborates with AFTAC to develop strategic acquisition methods through an integrated process team that produces responsive and cost-effective acquisition outcomes necessary to achieve peace through strength. Description of Position: This position resides on a high-performing team with programs that significantly impact national security. Selected candidates will award sole source contracts for niche non-commercial products/services, participate in large dollar source selections, and utilize agile contracting methodologies to include Commercial Solutions Openings, Broad Agency Announcements, and Other Transations. Selected candidate will work in a Secret Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and will be embedded with mission partner program managers and CORs and expected to perform in an integrated product/service team environment. Position Responsibilities: Perform all aspects of contracting, including pre/post-award functions across a variety of contract types and methods. Provide business advice and guidance to customers regarding acquisition strategies and contract requirements. Lead and execute projects and acquisition requirements as assigned. Contribute to an environment that demands continuous process improvement. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and policies. Desired Skills/Expertise: Diversity of Contracting Experience: The most highly rated candidates will have demonstrated experience in a variety of contract types to include FFP/CPFF/T&M and will have demonstrated experience with a variety of contract vehicles to include IDIQ, BAA, CSO, and MACs. Additionally, candidates should experienced in all or some of the procedures found in: simplified , source selection, and negotiated acquisitions. Familiarity with Multiple Types of Procurements: Demonstrated experience procuring a broad spectrum of supplies and services. Experience with Research & Development contracting, and Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreements is a plus. Source Selection Experience: Source selection experience is desired but not required. Qualification Requirements: · Demonstrated experience at the next lower broadband/grade level (or equivalent). Minimum five years of 1102 experience. Education: Possesses a bachelor’s degree or higher. Warrant: The most qualified candidates will have experience executing a limited or unlimited contracting officer warrant. Certifications: Back to Basics Certification "Professional” or must obtain within 3 years.
