Retail CashierSun Outdoors Ocean City is seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Retail Cashier (Seasonal) to join our team. As the first point of contact in our on-site retail store, you will provide exceptional customer service while efficiently handling guest purchases and transactions. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced resort environment while assisting guests and helping create a positive and welcoming shopping experience. The Retail Cashier is responsible for accurately processing payments and maintaining proper cash-handling procedures.Key Responsibilities:Accurately process guest transactions, including cash, credit cards, and house chargesVerify purchase totals and ensure all transactions are completed correctlyProvide excellent customer service and address guest questions or concerns in a professional mannerFollow cash-handling and accounting guidelines for cash drawer and house bank managementBalance and secure the house bank at the end of each shiftMaintain compliance with Point of Sale (POS) procedures and resort policiesOther duties as assignedQualifications:High School Diploma or GED requiredGuest service experience required; retail or hospitality experience preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsBasic computer proficiency, including email and internet useBasic math skills required for cash handling, making change, and balancing drawersAbility to resolve guest concerns calmly and effectivelyAbility to read, write, and speak English to communicate with guestsAbility to operate POS systems and cashier equipmentProfessional appearance and positive attitudeAbility to sit and/or stand for extended periodsPosition Details:Position Type: Full-time, SeasonalLocation: Sun Outdoors Ocean City – Berlin, MDSchedule: Flexible availability required, including nights, weekends, and holidaysBenefits:Paid Sick Time401(k) with Company MatchDiscounted travel and resort benefitsAdditional team member perks availableSun Outdoors is an Equal Opportunity Employer EOE / AA / M / F / Veterans / Disabled / Drug-Free Workplace
