About the jobJob Type: Part-time, Full-time, ContractPay: $48,000.00 - $54,000.00 per yearWork Location: Dallas, TexasAs a core contributor to AURORA’s strategic growth, the Development Coordinator will help shape innovative fundraising and donor engagement initiatives that sustain and grow public art programming. This position will focus on donor cultivation, sponsorship fulfillment, event fundraising, and administrative support to ensure the financial sustainability of AURORA’s public art programs.Responsibilities:1. Donor, Sponsor, and FundraisingAssist in identifying and researching potential sponsors, grants, funders, and individual donors to support mission-based events.Support sponsorship outreach by drafting proposals, managing sponsor deliverables, and ensuring benefits are fulfilled.Track fundraising progress and maintain accurate donor and sponsor records in CRM software.Support execution of targeted fundraising appeals.Help cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, sponsors, and grant funders.Draft donor acknowledgments, impact reports, and stewardship communications.2. Event SupportWork closely with the Executive team to support fundraising logistics for key events (e.g., AURORA Biennial VIP events, Video Art Night, fundraising events, and donor appreciation events).Coordinate event sponsorship benefits, including VIP ticketing, recognition, and branded activations.Assist in the planning and execution of donor and sponsor engagement activities before, during, and after events.Ensure event materials, donor lists, and communications align with fundraising goals.3. Grants & ReportingOrganize grant application processes by compiling necessary documents and assisting with research.Assist with grant writing.Maintain reporting deadlines and grant progress reports.Track and document outcomes of sponsorships and grants related to event programming, to be presented to AURORA Board.4. Administrative & Data ManagementOperate donor databases and ensure accuracy in gift tracking and acknowledgment.Coordinate scheduling and correspondence for development-related meetings.Create fundraising materials, presentations, and donor reports.Key Qualifications & Skills:Strong interest in nonprofit fundraising, donor engagement, and event-based development.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Little Green Light, DonorPerfect, or similar).Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.Familiarity with arts and culture funding, corporate sponsorships, and donor stewardship.Passion for public art, technology-driven experiences, and AURORA’s mission.This role will be instrumental in ensuring AURORA’s ability to expand its public art programming, engage diverse communities, and create sustainable funding opportunities. Success in this role will be measured by growth in sponsorships, timely grant submissions, enhanced donor engagement, and contributions to fundraising events.
