Information Technology --> Software Development/EngineeringWPAFB, OHID: 1212-383Full-Time/RegularCore4ce is recruiting a Software Engineer 2 to serve as a skilled mid-level contributor on complex software development programs supporting the U.S. Government. In this role, you will apply solid technical knowledge across engineering, computer science, and information technology to design, develop, and implement software solutions that address unique government requirements. You will guide entry-level engineers, take ownership of complex assignments, and build toward a project leadership role — all while contributing to programs with real and enduring mission impact. You will work on-site at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) — one of the nation's premier intelligence production centers — located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. NASIC sits at the forefront of air, space, and cyberspace intelligence analysis, and your contributions will directly inform decisions at the highest levels of the U.S. defense and intelligence enterprise.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical direction and day-to-day guidance to entry-level software engineers, supporting their development and ensuring quality deliverables.Apply advanced knowledge across Engineering, Computer Science, and/or Information Technology to technically design, develop, and implement complex software programs and systems.Take on complex assignments requiring initiative, independent judgment, and the ability to work through technically ambiguous problems.Develop software solutions uniquely tailored to meet specific Government requirements and operational mission needs.Function as Project Leader when required, including interfacing directly with Government clients and stakeholders to align on requirements, status, and deliverables.Prepare and generate clear, accurate technical reports, documentation, and other program artifacts pertinent to the position and contract requirements.This position is designed to be flexible, with responsibilities evolving to meet business needs and enable individual growth.Education & Experience RequirementsA degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology is required.
