Senior Oracle PL/SQL DeveloperAbout Innovya Technologies Innovya Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our engineering team and support the development, modernization, and integration of enterprise-scale applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, advanced SQL development, database performance tuning, data integration, and enterprise application development. This role will work closely with application developers, database administrators, data engineers, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable database solutions. The candidate should be comfortable working in complex enterprise environments with high-volume transactional systems and business-critical applications. Role Overview The Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting Oracle database solutions. The role requires hands-on experience with complex PL/SQL programming, SQL performance optimization, database objects, batch processing, data integration, and production troubleshooting. The successful candidate will contribute to application modernization, database migration, data integration, and cloud transformation initiatives while ensuring strong performance, data integrity, security, and maintainability. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, enhance, and maintain complex PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, cursors, collections, and database objects. Develop complex and highly optimized SQL queries for large-volume transactional and enterprise databases. Analyze SQL execution plans and identify opportunities for query and database performance optimization. Design and implement appropriate indexing, partitioning, materialized views, and other Oracle performance-tuning strategies. Develop database solutions supporting enterprise applications, APIs, reporting platforms, and data integration processes. Build and maintain ETL processes, batch jobs, database jobs, and automated data processing workflows. Develop database scripts for data migration, transformation, reconciliation, and system integration. Troubleshoot complex production issues involving SQL, PL/SQL, data integrity, performance, and application/database interactions. Collaborate with Java and other application development teams to design efficient database access patterns and integration solutions. Work with DBAs and architects to support database architecture, capacity, performance, availability, and scalability requirements. Participate in database code reviews and establish development standards and best practices. Develop and maintain database deployment scripts using Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools. Support application and database modernization initiatives, including migration from legacy/on-premises environments to cloud platforms. Perform root-cause analysis for production defects and implement permanent corrective solutions. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, technical discussions, design reviews, and release activities. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers when required. Required Qualifications & Technical Skills 6+ years of professional experience in Oracle PL/SQL development in enterprise environments. Strong hands-on expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, including: Packages Stored procedures Functions Cursors Triggers Collections Exception handling Dynamic SQL Advanced SQL development skills, including complex joins, subqueries, CTEs, analytical/window functions, aggregations, and query optimization. Strong experience with Oracle Database 12c, 19c, or newer. Hands-on experience with Oracle database performance tuning and troubleshooting. Strong understanding of: Indexing Partitioning Materialized views Execution plans Optimizer statistics Database locking and concurrency Experience supporting high-volume OLTP and enterprise database workloads. Experience with Oracle development tools such as SQL Developer, TOAD, SQL*Plus, or equivalent. Experience developing database-driven ETL and data integration solutions. Experience with Oracle Scheduler, database jobs, Data Pump, and database migration processes. Experience integrating Oracle databases with Java, .NET, Python, REST APIs, or other enterprise applications. Strong understanding of relational database concepts, normalization, data modeling, and database design. Experience with Git and CI/CD-based database deployment processes. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance-tuning capabilities. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Cloud Database services. Experience with Oracle Autonomous Database. Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, Exadata, or Data Guard. Experience with Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), or Oracle SOA. Experience supporting cloud database migration and modernization initiatives. Experience with Azure or AWS cloud environments. Knowledge of enterprise data warehousing and dimensional modeling. Experience with shell scripting, Python, or PowerShell for database automation. Experience with Oracle APEX. Experience in healthcare, insurance, financial services, retail, or other large-scale enterprise environments. Experience working with highly regulated systems requiring data security, auditability, compliance, and data governance.
