Associate gateway agent

Associate Gateway Agent C.H. Robinson is seeking an Associate Gateway Agent to join our Ocean Gateway team. The Associate Gateway Agent is an entry level role where you will be responsible for managing and operating the shipment lifecycle for assigned consolidations. This position involves the preparation, distribution, and maintenance of documents across various geographical regions. You will gain valuable experience by managing and overseeing tasks related to each shipment, as well as handling daily communication, reporting, and email management. In this role, you will engage with peers on-site 5 days a week, igniting creativity and driving impactful results. Upon successful completion of your training, you will then switch to 2 days a week in the office, working the rest of the time from home. This role strikes the perfect balance between teamwork and autonomy.Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:Master end-to-end international shipping processes, documentation, and terminology from purchase order to final deliveryInitiate, prepare, and assemble required documents for air, LCL, and FCL shipmentsProcess, distribute, and release accurate paperwork to carriers, customers, and agents on scheduleExecute and coordinate shipment tasks to meet customer SOPs, service levels, and compliance requirementsCreate, maintain, and update shipments in Navisphere, ensuring complete, accurate dataSafeguard master consolidation integrity, including routing, eManifest status, master-level Incoterms, and documentationMonitor milestones and proactively resolve exceptions to keep freight movingCommunicate clearly and promptly with overseas offices, agents, and vendors to ensure a smooth flow of shipmentsPartner cross-functionally and promote a positive, supportive team cultureRequired Qualifications: High school diploma or GEDPreferred Qualifications: Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related fieldProficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programsStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Demonstrated prioritization, time management, and attention to detail and accuracy skillsDemonstrated strong decision-making skills, problem solving and conflict resolution skillsHigh level of attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environmentValues a diverse and inclusive work environmentWe will review applications for this role on an ongoing basis and encourage all interested candidates to apply at their earliest convenience.Compensation Range $19.95 - $31.59The base pay range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this specific location.
