Job Title: Locum Physician NeonatologyLocation:Richmond, VirginiaOpportunity Details:We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Neonatologist for a locum tenens assignment in a Level III NICU at a well-established facility in Richmond, VA. This is a time-sensitive need with shifts beginning in late July 2025. Providers with a clean file and active VA license/DEA are encouraged to apply immediately for expedited credentialing.Facility Highlights:NICU Level: IIINICU Bed Size: 40 bedsAverage Daily Census: NICU 4.3; NBN 24.2Annual Deliveries: 4,256 (2024)Clinical Duties Include:High-frequency ventilation (HFOV and HFJV)Inhaled nitric oxide administrationManaging pediatric surgical patientsTherapeutic hypothermia with aEEGCoordination with pediatricians covering well babiesSchedule:24/7 in-house modelDay Shift: 7:30 AM 5:00 PM (2 physicians)Night Shift: 5:00 PM 7:30 AM (1 physician, with 30-min overlap for sign-out)No on-call coverage requiredSupport & Back-Up:On-site Pediatric Surgery and CardiologyNo ECMO or cardiac surgery (except PDA ligations)Support from VCU subspecialistsEMR: PermiEHR and MeditechCredentialing Requirements:VA License and DEA Required at SubmissionMust Have a Clean Malpractice and Background HistoryRequired Certifications:Board Certified or Board Eligible in NeonatologyPALS, NRP, and ACLS Required
