The ideal candidate understands freight pricing strategy, carrier coordination, transportation execution, and customer retention while operating within a non asset transportation brokerage environment.Key ResponsibilitiesGenerate new freight opportunities and develop long term customer relationshipsGrow and manage an active portfolio of transportation accountsExpand existing customer business through account development strategiesCoordinate transportation solutions across: Full Truckload (FTL), Dry Van, Reefer, Drayage, IntermodalDevelop freight pricing strategies that balance competitiveness and profitabilityCollaborate closely with Carrier Development and Operations teams to ensure successful freight executionBuild and maintain strong carrier relationships to support transportation capacity needsDeliver high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolutionResolve claims, service disruptions, and transportation challenges professionally and efficientlyMonitor transportation market trends and identify opportunities for customer growthSupport carrier network development and operational performance initiativesEnsure compliance with company procedures, SOPs, and operational standardsUtilize TMS systems and transportation technology tools effectivelyMaintain strong account retention through consistent service execution and relationship managementMaintain accurate account activity and customer information within internal systemsRequirementsMinimum 5+ years of business development or account management experience within a non asset freight brokerage environmentPrior carrier sales or brokerage operations experience preferredStrong understanding of freight pricing strategy and transportation executionPractical understanding of freight brokerage operations and transportation processesStrong sales, negotiation, customer service, and relationship management abilitiesExcellent communication and problem solving skillsAbility to manage customer relationships in a fast paced brokerage environmentExperience utilizing Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office applicationsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailPreferred BackgroundTransportation brokerage sales professionals with operational brokerage experienceFreight professionals with exposure to account management and carrier executionAsset based transportation experience is a plusProfessionals seeking long term career growth within a growing brokerage organization
