Enterprise Data Architect - Snowflake & AWS Serverless

A GTS client is seeking an Enterprise Data Architect / Senior Snowflake Architect for a hands-on role supporting an enterprise data platform for the public sector in Austin, TX.The environment includes a centralized Snowflake data warehouse built within an AWS cloud architecture, using serverless services such as Lambda, Glue, and CloudWatch. This person will serve as a go-to architecture resource for maintaining, improving, and evolving the platform while working closely with data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, cloud, network, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams.This role requires Austin-area residency and 100% onsite work. Relocation candidates are not being considered at this time.Candidates selected to move forward should be prepared for an onsite client interview in Austin.Core ResponsibilitiesOwn hands-on Snowflake architecture, administration, provisioning, permissions, and maintenance.Define and improve data platform frameworks, automation, deployment practices, and technical standards.Guide data engineers and analysts on AWS serverless and Snowflake implementation best practices.Participate in code reviews, deployment discussions, and production solution development.Collaborate with Cloud, Network, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and architecture review teams.Support ARB and CAB discussions and help ensure solutions meet current and future enterprise needs.Required QualificationsAustin-area candidate able to work 100% onsite.Authorized to work in the United States.10 or more years of experience with enterprise data management architecture, solution development, and implementing solutions based on emerging technologies.Senior Snowflake architect experience with hands-on platform ownership.Experience administering, maintaining, provisioning, and processing within Snowflake.Strong AWS serverless architecture knowledge, especially Lambda, Glue, and CloudWatch.Ability to demonstrate ownership of architecture decisions and implementation outcomes.Preferred QualificationsStreaming or stream processing implementation experience.Public sector, state agency, or regulated enterprise experience.AI/ML data platform exposure.ARB, CAB, change review, or enterprise architecture governance experience.GTS Technology Solutions, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
