Do you thrive in an environment where you can apply your expertise in maintaining and repairing various systems? We are currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our facility.Responsibilities:Maintain and repair the facility's physical plant and its various systems, including plumbing, electrical, structural, and equipment.Safely operate equipment, power, and hand tools to carry out maintenance tasks effectively.Advise appropriate facility personnel of any potential shut-downs, enabling the staff to provide alternate plans for the continuation of operations.Plan efficient use of time to complete tasks promptly and effectively.Cooperate with all other staff members to minimize disruption to the facility's operations.Inspect the facility regularly and report any needed repairs promptly to the Maintenance Supervisor.Qualifications:Previous experience in a hospital or long term care facility preferred.Ability to perform, and working knowledge of, routine plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry and grounds keeping tasks including painting, wallpapering, and shoveling snow.Valid drivers' license and safe driving record.The Maintenance Assistant demonstrates cooperation in assisting others and ability to work as a team.Patience, tact, enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward the residents and their support networks.Employee Benefits for 30+ Hours which may include:Scholarships and career development opportunitiesGenerous 4 weeks of paid time off7 paid holidaysHealth insurance benefitsShort & long-term disability coverageAccess to Call-a-Doc/24-7 MD telephone serviceEmployee Assistance ProgramLife insurance coverage401K retirement programLongevity credit for dedicated serviceJoin Our Compassionate Team!
