"R19858 2026 Fall Mechanical Test Engineering Undergraduate Intern/Co-opA Day In Your Life At MKSAs a Mechanical Test Engineering Intern at MKS Inc., you will partner with Technical Operations, Design Engineering and Production to develop, document and deploy test stands and fixtures to support MKS Operations. In this role, you will report to the Test Engineering Manager.Internship Program Overview4-month intern/co-op assignment within a functional area of MKS Inc. that provides students a comprehensive and engaging experience from before your program starts to after the program ends.Meaningful work and project assignments.Networking opportunities with peers and executives.Exposure to different divisions of the business.Understanding of MKS Inc.’s commitment to culture & belonging.Program Term: This is a co-op position from September 2026 - December 2026.You Will Make An Impact ByMeaningful work and project assignmentsDeveloping 3D models and assemblies utilizing the SolidWorks CAD packageCreating 2D manufacturing drawings from 3D files using SolidWorksAnalyzing existing and new CAD designs, optimizing for 3D print rapid prototypingVerifying and testing components and assemblies to ensure functional requirements are metPerforming engineering validation testing - generate test plans, create test setups/hardware, conduct testing, report findingsTravel Requirements: No travel is required.R19858 2026 Fall Mechanical Test Engineering Undergraduate Intern/Co-opSkills You BringEnrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Mechanical Engineering3rd or 4th year student preferredExperience with SolidWorksExperience creating 3D solid modelsFamiliarity with Microsoft Office applicationsWork well in a team environment and able to complete work independentlyPreferred SkillsKnowledge of ANSI drawing standard is desiredKnowledge of FEA (stress, flow, thermal simulation)Physical Demands And Working ConditionsPerform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of timeConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity machineryMust be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understandOperates in a professional office environmentNoise level in the work environment is usually averageCompensation And BenefitsHourly Pay Range: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs R19858 2026 Fall Mechanical Test Engineering Undergraduate Intern/Co-op and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.Benefits: MKS offers a benefits package for interns/co-ops working at least 20 hours per week, including 11 paid holidays, sick time, and 15 paid vacation days accrued on a biweekly basis.
