Join our growing team supporting customer missions as a Network Engineer in Herndon, Virginia.Required Qualifications A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree are preferred with a minimum of eleven (11) year’s relevant experience with the following skillsetsIn depth knowledge of network architecture, design, and implementationFamiliar with routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, ISISFamiliar with switching protocols such as STP, LACP, VTPIn depth knowledge of specific network technologies such as routing and switchingIn depth knowledge of network automationCloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google)Software-defined networking (SD-WAN)Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineersExperience with creating technical documentation such as designs, implementation plans, and technical notesAbility to brief designs to review boardsKnowledge in deploying MPLS networksAbility to learn, understand and implement new technologiesIndependent learner with a proven ability to master complex technical concepts through self-study and practiceDesired QualificationsAdept in network engineering, with focus on design, implementation, and management of complex networksExperience with network architecture, design, and implementation in a large-scale environmentProven track record of successfully resolving complex network issues and improving network performanceWilling to learn new technologiesBCore is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
