Welcome Joes Cafe, a family owned and operated business on the Greater Northside for over 60 years.  Thank you for your interest in joining our team. We have small operation dedicated to serving our loyal customers.  We are looking for reliable, talented people to serve them (Takeout Only) and give them great service and good food. Restaurant duties may include: Taking orders and making accurate change quickly Providing food service to our guests with enthusiasm Preparing all menu items and checking for product quality and consistency Preparing drinks and slushies Preparing food orders, cooking on the grill, operating the fry station as needed Cleaning the drive-in restaurants -- including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes, wiping counter-tops and sanitizing food areas.  Requirements: Ability to work regular hours, nights, weekends or holidays Ability to be flexible in all situations based on restaurant business need Effective communication skills; basic math and reading skills Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards General  knowledge and understanding of the food service / restaurant industry or retail operations preferred, but not required Additional Qualifications Friendly and welcoming individuals who enjoy providing pleasant and courteous food service to our guests! A willingness to cross-train in all of the stations.  Motivated individuals who are team players and committed to keeping our drive-in restaurant clean and safe. Required qualifications: Legally authorized to work in the United States Preferred qualifications: 21+ years or older Food Service license/certification: Food Handler's License Restaurant back of house skills: grill station Restaurant back of house skills: fry station Restaurant back of house skills: general food prep Restaurant front of house skills: point of sale (POS) operation Able to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures Comfortable handling customer complaints Able to stand for duration of shift Available to work: late at night Available to work: weekends Available to work: weekdays
