About the Role:As an Electrician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your expertise will contribute to the reliable distribution of electrical power, supporting the infrastructure that powers homes, businesses, and public facilities. You will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to execute precise electrical work that meets all safety codes and regulations. This role demands a strong commitment to quality workmanship and safety, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues promptly. Ultimately, your work will ensure that electrical systems operate smoothly, minimizing downtime and enhancing the safety and functionality of the environments you serve.Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiringInspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and componentsPerform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standardsTest electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioningComplete required documentation of repairs and service informationEnsure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and partsCalibrate equipment to provided specificationsPerform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and componentsTroubleshoot problems and make timely repairsQualifications:Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program requiredCompletion of an electrician program at a technical or trade school preferred3-5 years of electrical experienceValid driver's license in state of practiceAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 poundsAbility to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneelComfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagramsWorking knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipmentDemonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical workAbility to calculate basic mathematical problemsWilling to work overtimeCompany DescriptionGTI specializes in the design, engineering, fabrication, and deployment of custom modular structures, shipping container-based structures, and ballistic metal fabrication.
