This position is designed for an innovative and collaborative individual who will directly support the Administrative Director in driving the mission and vision of the Research Institute.In this role, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence and professional development among the non-clinical staff, ensuring that the team is equipped with the tools and resources needed to thrive. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing research capabilities, streamlining operational processes, and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration across various departments.As a key member of Bassett Healthcare Network's Research Institute Team, you will not only oversee day-to-day operations but also contribute to long-term strategic planning and organizational growth. Your leadership will empower staff, enhance research initiatives, and support the development of innovative solutions that drive the Research Institute's objectives forward.Your responsibilities will include mentoring staff, managing performance evaluations, and overseeing professional development initiatives, all while maintaining a commitment to high standards of research integrity and compliance. You will also serve as a liaison to other Bassett departments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration that aligns with the overarching goals of the organization.Supervision and staff mentorship (Biweekly staff)Annual performance reviewsRoutine check-ins with direct reportsDisciplinary action and performance improvement plans (in coordination with leadership & supervisors)Time & Attendance tracking, oversees use of travel and compensatory timeUKG maintenanceOversees annual internship programStaff hiring (in coordination with leadership & supervisors)Assures appropriate orientation for new staff membersCoordinates and implements annual projects, including Research Week, Annual Year in Review, Research Grand Rounds and other projects as they ariseOrganizational process improvementSupporting Individual Center functions, growth (as necessary) and integrationAssists in the Development of pertinent policies, procedures, plans and activities related to the operation of the Research Institute as demonstrated in team leader meeting notesIdentifies professional development needs for staff based upon Center goals and objectives as demonstrated by quarterly review of staff development needs with Administrative directorAddresses identified needs for staff professional development by stimulating and supporting continuing education efforts among staff members as demonstrated by annual accounting of such efforts by staff membersCoordination of staff cross-trainingDevelopment of monthly staff meeting agendasAnnual staff retreat organization/planning and professional developmentMaintains up to date and accurate Bio-Sketch information for Research StaffIn conjunction with BRI Leadership Manages Research file structuresAssists with specific research programs as necessaryAs a member of the Administrative Team, works with other members and Principal Investigators in developing short and long-term agendas for the Research InstituteMakes recommendations to the Director and Administrative Director for allocation of resources and changes in allocations as needed.
