Traffic Maintenance Specialist
Job DescriptionCollin County is seeking candidates for the position of Traffic Maintenance Technician. This position fabricates, installs, repairs and maintains traffic signs and markings according to state and federal regulations by maintaining records of work performed, monitoring sign supplies, installing pavement markers and stop bars, ensuring site safety, following state and federal regulations and the Texas manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, maintaining equipment and tools, training subordinate employees, directing, coordinating construction activities associated with barricading, reporting road closures, inventorying signs, and preparing daily reports. Performs related duties as assigned. Work is performed under the direction of the Foreman.Candidates must have the knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes. Must have at least one year of relevant experience. Must have level of education equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency.
