Senior Quality EngineerIndustry: Semiconductor / Electronics ManufacturingLocation: Greater Boston Area or Rhode IslandPosition OverviewA leading semiconductor and electronics manufacturer is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to support product and process quality across suppliers, manufacturing partners, and internal operations. This individual will play a key role in developing, implementing, and improving quality systems within a fabless manufacturing environment while driving compliance, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and lead Quality Management System activities, including ISO compliance initiatives and internal audits.Manage corrective and preventive action programs, including supplier corrective actions, nonconformance investigations, and audit findings.Work directly with suppliers and manufacturing partners to resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and improve overall performance.Track and monitor supplier performance, product change notifications, and quality-related metrics.Maintain quality documentation, records, and historical data to ensure regulatory and organizational compliance.Partner with reliability and failure analysis teams to investigate product issues and identify long-term solutions.Participate in cross-functional projects focused on quality improvements and operational excellence.Conduct physical and electrical evaluations of components to support troubleshooting, validation, and quality investigations.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.5+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within semiconductor, electronics, or advanced manufacturing environments.Strong knowledge of quality systems, manufacturing processes, product lifecycle management, and troubleshooting methodologies.Experience working with ISO 9001:2015 standards and quality management systems.Familiarity with IATF 16949 and automotive quality standards preferred.Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or similar certification is highly desirable.Proficiency with statistical analysis tools such as JMP or Minitab.Understanding of semiconductor quality and reliability practices.Experience with PLM systems such as Agile, Omnify, MatrixOne, or similar platforms is a plus.Knowledge of semiconductor packaging and reliability testing is preferred.Strong communication, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills.Why This Opportunity?This position offers the chance to join an innovative organization within the semiconductor industry, working closely with engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality, and reliability teams to drive product excellence and continuous improvement.
