Software Tester/QA Analyst

DataStaff, Inc. is seeking a Software Tester/QA Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Richmond, VA. *This position is onsite Job Description:The Software Tester / QA Lead is responsible for defining, managing, and executing the quality assurance strategy to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions. his role leads testing efforts across the software development lifecycle, coordinates QA resources, establishes testing standards, and works closely with development, product, and business stakeholders to mitigate risk and ensure system readiness.Familiarity with establishing a new software testing program which includes standards, templates, procedures, and best practices.Responsibilities:Define and own the overall QA and testing strategy across projects and releasesLead test planning, execution, and reporting for functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT)Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and traceability matricesCoordinate QA activities across internal teams and third-party vendorsEnsure alignment between requirements, test coverage, and acceptance criteriaManage defect tracking, prioritization, and resolutionEstablish QA standards, best practices, and test governance processesOversee test environments, test data preparation, and release readiness assessmentsProvide risk-based testing recommendations and go/no-go input for releasesKnowledge and Experience:Strong leadership and stakeholder management skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesClear, concise written and verbal communicationAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesDetail-oriented with a strong quality mindsetRequired Skills:5 Years - Software Testing and Quality Assurance2 Years - Experience in a QA Lead, Test Lead, or similar role3 Years - Understanding of SDLC, Agile, and/or Waterfall methodologies3 Years - Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools2 years - Experience in automated testing frameworks and tools 3 years - Experience leading UAT and working with business stakeholders 2 Years - Experience in healthcare environments This position is available on a corp-to-corp basis or as a W2 position with competitive benefits package.
