Junior QA Engineer
We're hiring a Junior QA Engineer to help establish and scale the quality practice from the ground up for a growing mobile application. This role offers the unique opportunity to take ownership of manual testing while building the foundations for future automation using TypeScript and Node.js.
The Role:
- Create and execute formal end-to-end manual test plans for iOS and Android platforms across new features and release candidates.
- Write clear test cases, track defects, and collaborate directly with engineers to verify fixes.
- Use Node.js and TypeScript to debug issues, inspect logs, and develop automated UI/UX regression tests.
- Build test fixtures and mock services to simulate point-of-sale terminal behavior and reduce reliance on physical hardware.
- Partner closely with the engineering and product teams to establish baseline QA processes and release checklists.
What You'll Need:
- Hands-on programming experience in TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js, alongside working familiarity with React and React Native.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, core QA concepts, and bug lifecycles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment. What's On Offer
