The role of the School Safety Officer includes but is not limited to a variety of security related duties.Responding to a variety of calls/incidentsSafeguard and secures all scenesResponsible to perform crowd control when neededPerforms personnel, vehicular, and building facility checksFirst Aid and CPR as requiredCompletes all required reports, forms, and other established procedures via electronic security applicationsMust be familiar with various Security systems such as: CCTV's, access control, emergency notification systems, and mobile security applications.Safely maintains and qualifies with assigned weapons, maintains uniform and grooming standards in accordance with company policiesSafeguards all assets, provides assistance and escort persons and equipment as neededConducts other assignments in accordance with established SOP'sPayrate: $24.80 hourlyREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:Three (3) years security experience within past five (5) years, orAn Associate's degree, or at least 60-semester hours college credit in any field of study, orThree (3) years military or National Guard experience, (active or reserve) orSuccessful completion of Police Officer Standard Training (POST) course, or Any reasonable combination of the above.Successfully pass a criminal history background investigationMust Speak English fluently; read and comprehend written English.Must be able to demonstrate excellent skill using Microsoft applicationsMust be capable of learning new computer programs and applicationsMust be able to work various shifts, to include weekends and HolidaysMust be able to successfully complete approximately 40 hrs. of company provided training. (Classes are scheduled 7 days a week)Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment physical exam and drug screenMust be able to successfully complete and pass all company provided training; to include Expandable Baton, Defensive Tactics, and incident report writing.Must have a clean Driving RecordMust possess and maintain state required Armed Security Officer licensingCurrent Operator's permit.
