Mid-Level Full Stack Software Engineer (Java | Angular | AWS)📍 Location: Rockville, MD or Tysons Corner, VA🏢 Hybrid Schedule: 3 Days Onsite | 2 Days RemoteWe are looking for a talented Mid-Level Full Stack Software Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team building modern, scalable enterprise applications. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the entire technology stack—from intuitive Angular frontends to robust Java and Python microservices running on AWS.You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver secure, cloud-native applications while contributing to modern software engineering practices and next-generation AI-enabled solutions.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java (Spring Boot), Python, and Angular.Build secure, high-performance RESTful and GraphQL APIs using microservices architecture.Develop responsive and accessible user interfaces using Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, and modern frontend best practices.Design and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services.Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing and deployments.Collaborate with architects, product owners, data engineers, and security teams to deliver high-quality software.Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions and engineering best practices.Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.Ensure applications adhere to security, compliance, and software quality standards.Required Qualifications5–7 years of professional software development experience.Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.Working knowledge of Python for backend development.3+ years of Angular development experience using modern versions of Angular.Experience with TypeScript, RxJS, and state management concepts.Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services.Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB.Experience with Docker and containerized application development.Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Generative AI or Large Language Models (LLMs).Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD experience.Splunk, CloudWatch, Datadog, or Grafana exposure.Experience with Kafka, SNS, SQS, or other event-driven architectures.Knowledge of OWASP security principles and secure coding practices.Experience with feature flagging, canary deployments, or progressive delivery.Financial services or regulated industry experience is a plus.What We're Looking ForA true full-stack engineer who is comfortable building both backend services and modern frontend applications.Someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and delivering scalable, cloud-native solutions.A collaborative engineer with strong communication skills and a passion for writing clean, maintainable code.If you're looking to work on impactful enterprise applications using modern technologies including Java, Angular, AWS, microservices, and AI-enabled development, we'd love to hear from you.
