Electrical Engineer-FPGA

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support multiple programs within the Integrated Warfare Systems & Sensors business area. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design, development, and testing of advanced electrical systems and components in a collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment.This role requires a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, along with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and support high-reliability defense-related applications.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networksDesign electrical equipment, systems, and products for commercial, industrial, and defense applicationsLead and support the design of launcher electrical systems, including architecture and subsystem integrationSelect and integrate Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components into system designsDevelop custom hardware solutions to meet program-specific requirementsDefine and establish requirements for chassis and enclosure design, ensuring compliance with system and environmental constraintsPerform system-level analysis, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical designsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including systems, mechanical, and software engineering Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related fieldMinimum 6+ years of relevant experience in electrical design and developmentExperience in digital and mixed-signal electronic design and troubleshooting, preferably in military or other high-reliability environmentsHands-on experience with FPGA design using VHDL or VerilogProficiency with LabVIEW for testing, automation, or system validationStrong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skillsEffective communication skills with the ability to produce technical documentation Preferred QualificationsExperience working on defense or aerospace programsFamiliarity with high-reliability system design standards
