You'll be the go-to person for ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions across our property management operations - from rent postings to vendor payments and tenant billing. You'll support our property management and leadership teams by digging into discrepancies, identifying process improvements, and ensuring that financial data is clean, accurate, and timely.This position offers a mix of in-office work (in Carrollton, GA) and remote flexibility.Key responsibilities include:Review and reconcile rent postings, security deposits, and owner disbursementsManage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring all invoices and payments are properly coded and trackedGenerate and process bills for internal maintenance technicians and vendorsCreate and track tenant utility invoices (e.g., water usage, trash, pest control)Research and resolve accounting discrepancies or missing transactionsAssist with monthly financial reporting for owners and internal departmentsSupport leadership with system checks, audits, and balance reviewsMaintain vendor and owner ledgers within property management softwareCollaborate with remote team members to ensure smooth financial operations across departmentsContribute ideas to improve financial workflows and reporting accuracyQualificationsRequired:3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operationsStrong understanding of AP/AR processesProficiency with accounting software (experience with property management platforms like AppFolio, Buildium, or Propertyware a plus)Excellent attention to detail - you catch small errors others missStrong communication skills, both written and verbalGrit and follow-through: you don't stop until the numbers balanceAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid settingProficient in Excel/Google SheetsPreferred:Prior experience in property management, real estate, or constructionFamiliarity with owner statements, tenant ledgers, and security deposit accountingExperience managing multiple entities or trust accounts
