Quality Engineer
We are hiring a Quality Engineer for a leading manufacturing organization in Englewood, CO. This is a 10-month contract opportunity for professionals with experience in quality inspections, dimensional measurement, and quality systems within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform incoming and First Article Inspections (FAI) to verify product conformance to engineering specifications.
Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using precision measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gages, optical comparators, Keyence, and other inspection tools.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to determine inspection methods and acceptance criteria.
Develop and maintain inspection plans, sampling plans, and inspection procedures.
Plan, execute, and analyze Gage R&R (Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility) studies and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) activities.
Evaluate measurement system performance and implement improvements to enhance inspection accuracy and reduce variation.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience performing dimensional inspections using precision measurement equipment.
Hands-on experience with Gage R&R, MSA, and statistical analysis.
Proficiency with Minitab or similar statistical software.
Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, inspection methodologies, and sampling plans.
Knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulations, ISO 13485, or other regulated manufacturing quality standards is preferred.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is a plus.
Pay: $68.00 - $70.00 per hour
