SAP BW/4HANA Architect
Position Title: SAP BW/4HANA ArchitectJob Location: Chicago, IL (1 week onsite/month)Duration: Long-term contract Role Descriptions: The SAP HANA and BW/4HANA consultant is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing enterprise data warehousing and reporting solutions using SAP HANA Modeling, SAP BW/4HANA, Smart Data Integration (SDI)/ETL, ABAP and SQL. This role focuses on building scalable data models, integrating data from multiple source systems, and enabling high-performance analytics and reporting for business users.Key Responsibilities / Steps:Requirement Gathering: Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, and data integration requirements.Solution Design: Architect end-to-end SAP BW/4HANA and SAP HANA solutions aligned with business and technical needs.Data Modeling: Develop and optimize SAP HANA calculation views, CDS views, and SAP BW/4HANA data models such as ADSOs, Composite Providers, and Open ODS Views.Data Integration: Design and implement SDI/ETL processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data from SAP and non-SAP systems.SQL Development: Write and tune complex SQL queries, procedures, and scripts for data processing and performance optimization.Performance Optimization: Monitor and improve query performance, data load efficiency, and system scalability.Reporting Support: Enable reporting tools and dashboards by providing clean, reliable, and well-structured data models.Testing & Validation: Perform unit testing, integration testing, and data validation to ensure data accuracy and consistency.Documentation: Prepare technical design documents, data flow diagrams, and support documentation.Experience in BW 7.5 on HANA to BW/4HANA migrationRequired Skills:Strong experience in SAP HANA ModelingExpertise in SAP BW/4HANA modelingHands-on experience with Smart Data Integration (SDI) and ETL processesExperience on ABAPAdvanced knowledge of SQLKnowledge on BODSUnderstanding of data warehousing concepts, performance tuning, and reporting architecturesAbility to collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders
