Enterprise Integration Architect
2+ Days/Week out of Conshohocken, PA AreaRole OverviewOur client is looking for an Enterprise Integration Architect who will serve as the central architectural force connecting the organization’s technology ecosystem, ensuring platforms, data, and integrations operate as a cohesive whole.Rather than owning a single system, this role architects across the enterprise—ERP platforms (multiple, due to acquisitions), financial systems, Salesforce, business intelligence, e-commerce, and dozens to hundreds of third-party integrations. This individual defines how systems interact, how data moves, and how the architecture scales as the business continues to grow through acquisition.This position requires a system?agnostic mindset, strong technical depth, and exceptional influence skills, as the architect leads direction across teams without direct reporting authority.Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Architecture & Integration StrategyOwn and evolve the enterprise-wide architecture vision across applications, platforms, and data.Act as the primary architect responsible for “stitching together” a fragmented application landscape.Define and implement integration design patterns, standards, and best practices across the organization.Lead enterprise integration strategy spanning:ERP environments (including SAP and legacy ERP platforms)Financial and operational systemsSalesforce and customer-facing platformsBI and analytics ecosystemsExternal partners and third-party platformsEnsure architecture decisions support scalability, resilience, and long-term maintainability in an acquisition-driven environment.Integration, Data & Platform ArchitectureDrive architecture for integration platforms, with the current environment centered on Boomi (experience preferred but not required).Support and influence data architecture initiatives, including:ETL strategyMaster Data Management (MDM)Data consistency across ERP, CRM, and downstream systemsArchitect and guide API-led and event-driven integration approaches.Partner closely with ERP, SAP, data, BI, and cloud architecture teams to maintain consistency and alignment.Provide architectural oversight to Salesforce integrations and broader CRM ecosystem connectivity.Leadership, Influence & CollaborationLead architectural direction through influence, aligning diverse teams around shared standards.Collaborate with:ERP and SAP architectsData and BI architectsIntegration and middleware teamsExternal vendors and technology partnersGuide internal teams, including integration developers, ETL resources, and data architecture functions.Present and defend architectural decisions to technical leaders, business stakeholders, and executives.Translate between business objectives and technical execution with clarity and confidence.Key Initiatives & Near-Term FocusSupport and expand a rapidly growing ecosystem of third-party integrations (including large platforms such as ServiceTitan).Lead architectural direction for a new e-commerce platform selection and implementation.Drive Master Data Management (MDM) strategy and implementation.Continue Phase 2 of ERP-to-SAP integration.Enable architecture that supports ongoing acquisitions and future system onboarding.Governance, Documentation & StandardsOwn architectural documentation, ensuring systems, integrations, and data flows are clearly documented and current.Maintain enterprise architecture diagrams and artifacts using tools such as Confluence and Draw.io.Establish and enforce integration, data, and architectural governance standards.Continuously identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and eliminate redundant systems.Contribute to long-range technology roadmaps and enterprise planning.Required Qualifications12+ years of experience in enterprise, solution, or integration architecture.Proven experience architecting complex, multi-system enterprise environments.Strong background in:Enterprise integration architecture (platform-agnostic)Data architecture and ETL processesAPI design and system-to-system integrationsExperience operating in multi-ERP environments, including SAP ecosystems.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct reporting lines.Demonstrated success translating technical concepts for business and executive audiences.Strategic, big-picture thinker capable of balancing multiple concurrent enterprise initiativesPreferred ExperienceExperience in wholesale distribution or similarly complex operational industries.Background in acquisition-heavy or rapidly scaling organizations.Familiarity with:Boomi, MuleSoft, or similar integration platformsSalesforce integrated enterprise environmentsE-commerce platform selection and implementationMaster Data Management (MDM) solutionsExperience working within similarly sized organizations with complex integration ecosystems.
