IR Technologist in Cumming, GA

A healthcare imaging technologist role is available for a skilled professional in the interventional radiology (IR) and vascular hybrid procedural setting. This contract opportunity requires expertise in performing a wide array of diagnostic and interventional procedures independently, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging outcomes.Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment for procedures, collaborating closely with radiologists, vascular surgeons, and cardiologists, and maintaining sterile techniques throughout. This role also manages departmental communications, maintains records in compliance with regulatory standards, and supports training initiatives for medical imaging staff. Patient identification verification, procedure documentation, and providing education to patients and families on post-procedural care are also key components of this position.Candidates must have graduated from an AMA-approved Radiology Technology program and hold ARRT Radiography and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications upon hire. A minimum of one year of experience in an Interventional Special Procedures setting is required, along with demonstrated competency in interventional and vascular imaging procedures, patient positioning, radiation safety, and relevant anatomy and pathology knowledge. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and a positive attitude are essential.The schedule includes four 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with on-call duties varying by unit needs.
