Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary:
Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical systems and associated electrical equipment
Essential Functions:

Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects
Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code
Inspect & test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches, and switch gears
Manage the electrical permit process in the assigned area
Build and maintain rapport with local city inspectors
Clean driving record and the ability to drive a company vehicle
Skills:
Must have a stable work history
Must display professionalism and leadership abilities
Determining site installation needs/designs on the fly
Troubleshooting problem-solving skills a must
Solid communication skills, both oral and written
Must have high energy, intuitive, ability to multi-task, strong follow-up skills, must work well with all levels of the organization
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of experience as an electrician; extensive experience in both commercial and residential work a plus
Current journeyman electrician license

Working in outdoor elements such as cold, hot, precipitation and wind
In proximity of heavy machinery and moving vehicles
Moderate noise level
Use of PPE
Working in elevated places
Physical Demands:
Frequently moving, transporting, positioning objects of at least 60 pounds or more
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffoldings, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms
Must be able to climb roof tops of all types and to perform job duties from high places.
Must be able to pull own body weight plus equipment weight up roofs and vertical tower repeatedly
Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, sit, and climb ladders and communication towers and work in an elevated position
Frequently required to use hand and power tools
Working Hours/Days:
Monday through Friday
Min 40 hours, flexible hours
Overtime as needed
Travel Requirements:
40-60% travel required, some out of state
Some overnight will be required
