Business Development Manager - PLM/CAD Software

Geometric Solutions is actively seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team! Our first preference is for candidates located on or near the West Coast to focus on expanding our presence in that region. Local candidates in Metro Detroit, MI, will also be preferred. This role is a remote position.ResponsibilitiesReport to the Managing Director of Geometric SolutionsBuild, grow, and leverage a client base within the software sales groupDevelop new markets for software sales, targeting customers in various sectors, including automotive and aerospaceExpand sales of the Siemens suite of products through direct interaction with customer contactsPrepare and present responses to RFPs, RFIs, and unsolicited proposalsDevelop and implement strategic plans for the market segmentCultivate strong customer relationships to achieve company revenue goalsPrepare for and attend monthly sales review meetingsDeliver professional sales presentationsCollaborate with the marketing team, applications engineers, and other departments to align sales strategies and ensure cohesive effortsAttend trade shows as appropriate and perform other duties as assignedAll employees are required to work within the confines and responsibilities of the quality systemQualificationsBackground in software sales either in the Siemens suite (preferred) or a similar product line such as Ansys, SolidWorks, Autodesk, etcSuperior sales ability, management skills, and leadership qualitiesStrong financial, business planning, presentation, and negotiation skills2+ years of experience in software sales (solution selling)Solid understanding of Product Life Cycle Management (PLM)Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with minimal supervisionProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the InternetExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to multi-taskPreferred QualificationsDirect sales experience with the Siemens suite of productsAll employees are required to work within the confines and responsibilities of the quality system.BenefitsMedical, Dental & Vision InsurancePaid Time Off and Holiday PayEmployer matching 401KTuition ReimbursementFlexible Spending Programs (FSAs)Short-Term & Long-Term Disability InsuranceEmployee Referral ProgramAdditional Voluntary Benefit ProgramsOff-site company events & Employee LuncheonsWho are we?Geometric Solutions is a Siemens PLM Software partner providing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions.
