Their expertise ensures high-quality products tailored to meet various customer needs.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role located in Stonington, CT, for a Tool Design Engineer. The individual in this role will design and develop tools and fixtures used in wire and metal fabrication processes. Daily responsibilities include creating and modifying designs using CAD software, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve product designs, and providing engineering support for tooling and manufacturing processes. Additional duties involve ensuring tooling designs meet performance and quality standards and troubleshooting issues as necessary.QualificationsExpertise in Tooling Design and Product DesignProficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software - specifically AutoCAD InventorKnowledge of welding processes and principlesBackground in Mechanical Engineering, including manufacturing and materials knowledgeStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailEffective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional team workBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fieldExperience in wire forming, stamping, welding or metal fabrication is a plus
