Tauri Rust DeveloperLocation: RemoteJob Type: ContractJob SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Tauri Rust Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure, high-performance, cross-platform desktop applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Rust and Tauri, along with modern frontend technologies such as TypeScript/JavaScript and React, Vue, or Svelte.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain cross-platform desktop applications using Tauri and Rust.Build responsive and modern user interfaces using TypeScript/JavaScript and frameworks such as React, Vue, or Svelte.Integrate native operating system capabilities with Tauri applications.Design and integrate REST APIs and backend services.Work with databases such as SQLite and PostgreSQL.Troubleshoot complex application issues and perform debugging and performance optimization.Implement secure coding practices and ensure application security.Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices.Collaborate with product, engineering, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.Required SkillsStrong hands-on experience with Rust.Strong experience developing desktop applications using Tauri.Proficiency in TypeScript and/or JavaScript.Experience with at least one modern frontend framework: React, Vue, or Svelte.Strong understanding of REST APIs.Experience with SQLite and/or PostgreSQL.Proficiency with Git and standard software development workflows.Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.Experience with performance optimization and secure software development practices.Nice to HaveExperience migrating applications from Electron to Tauri.Experience with CI/CD pipelines.Knowledge of Docker.Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Experience with cross-platform desktop application development for Windows, macOS, and/or Linux.Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who can work across both Rust/Tauri backend-native functionality and modern frontend development, with a strong focus on performance, security, and maintainability.
