Unloading: Safely removing goods from trucks, organizing them. Verification & Inspection: Comparing delivery against PO/ASN, checking for damage/discrepancies, counting items. Sorting & Putaway: Categorizing items for storage, labeling items, moving them to designated locations. Shipping TasksOrder Processing: Downloading customer orders, batching/picking items. Packing & Labeling: Preparing orders, applying labels/barcodes. Documentation: Preparing bills of lading Carrier Coordination: Booking carriers and scheduling pickups. Loading: Loading orders into outbound vehicles and weighing as needed. General Dock Responsibilities Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of all inbound/outbound movements. Communication: Communicating with drivers, warehouse staff, and managers. Safety & Cleanliness: Following safety guidelines, keeping the dock area organized and clear. Problem Solving: Resolving discrepancies, damages, or delayed deliveries. Staying until truck arrives. Inventory: Confirming inventory each morning and forwarding to the team in a timely manner. Supervisory DutiesServes as backup to the Shipping & Receiving Manager, coordinating activities of Receiving team members, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and verifying condition of shipments. Skills and Qualifications:Experience in motivating a team of warehouse personnel, coordinating activities, and delegating tasks effectively. Understanding warehouse procedures, inventory management, and supply chain processes. Clear and effective verbal and written communication with team members, management, and other departments. Analyzing and resolving issues related to receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations. Prioritizing tasks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth workflows. Familiarity with relevant software like WMS, inventory systems, and MS Office. Ability to lift and move items (e.g., 50 pounds) as needed.
