AM Shift Barista and Cashier

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring customer satisfaction through friendly interactions and efficient service. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Operate the Square POS systems for order processing and cash handling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking orders accurately and efficiently. Handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring accurate change is given. Assist in food preparation and food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Manage time effectively during busy periods to maintain service quality. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance overall customer experience. Stay knowledgeable about menu items, including seasonal offerings and promotions. Qualifications Previous barista or coffee experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations in the food industry. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with Square POS is a plus but not mandatory. A passion for coffee culture and willingness to learn about different brewing methods and products.
