Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant-- GeriatricsLocation: SNF setting, 130 bedsSalary Range: $31-$34 per hourWork Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, no weekend rotationJob Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to our geriatric patients. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients regain and maintain their physical abilities.Key Responsibilities:Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitationsDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the Physical TherapistAdminister therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patients' strength, range of motion, balance, and coordinationMonitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as neededEducate patients and their families on proper techniques for performing exercises and activities at homeCommunicate regularly with the Physical Therapist and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient careAdhere to all safety and infection control proceduresMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient recordsQualifications:Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant programCurrent state license or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist AssistantMinimum of 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric setting preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a teamCompassionate and patient-centered approach to careBasic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical record systems
